Currently living and working in Paris

Roxane Cadieu is a french artist based between Paris and south west of France. During the past years, she has developed a practice rooted in experimentation, exploring mostly ceramic. After studying at Design Academy Eindhoven, she continued her learning by collaborating with artists, craftmen and designers, mostly in Paris.

She is developing her practice by exploring materials as an object containance, both as vessels that receive and forms that give. She investigates the paradoxes of materials : porosity, solidity, and the tension between structure and fragility. Each piece is shaped as a sensitive response to its context — the material, the rhythm, and the place it inhabits. She is looking at the way she can translate an intimate and soft experience through a material form that is relevant. Roxane approach than both craft and experimentation in order to explore the dialogue between sculptural installation and functionnal objects.

Currently based in Paris, Roxane is deepening her skills in wheel throwing and regularly attends workshops with craftperson to enrich her technical and conceptual practice. Expositions
